The Militia of the Immaculata was begun by St. Maximilian Kolbe in 1917 to counter anti-Catholic misunderstandings with the true teachings of the Church. Under Our Lady’s patronage, and members’ consecration to the Militia of the Immaculata, the apostolate has grown to over 4 million members worldwide.
