Though born the daughter of a Czech king, Agnes knew from an early age that her heart desired more than a politically advantageous marriage. In order to fulfill God’s plan for her, she forfeited her wealth and titles to found the “Knights of the Cross with the Red Star” a Poor Clare community dedicated to helping the impoverished and infirm.
